After founding the company in 2011 alongside my father, Durmus Ali Gülüser, ACT (Antwerp Container Transport) quickly became an established value in the Port of Antwerp throughout the years. Being 3rd generation in transport, we knew as no other where the logistics market was evolving into. Year after year, we witnessed continuous and stable growth, whilst preserving our high quality customer service and maintaining our competitive position in the local transport market. In 2014 our first large order of 40 DAF trucks was a fact and our market share increased rapidly, making it possible to purchase another 100 DAF trucks in 2018. Being a former truck driver myself, we made it a priority to ensure our drivers are supported by the latest technology and comfort offered by our high-end trucks. By 2019 our fleet counted a total of 215 trucks and 248 trailers, while ACT International offered more than 200 people employment. By the end of that same year, when the pandemic began, it became clear that in order to maintain our market position we worked so hard and tirelessly for, we needed to anticipate and adapt quick and agile on any local and global changes in legislation and logistics. Looking beyond our core service offering of FCL transport we became the official importer of Ozgül Trailers in 2020. That same year, we made the offer to take over CBN from ADPO. CBN, a forwarder offering warehousing and international transport by ocean, held the concessions where our parking space and office was located. In those concessions there is a total of 51 000m² of warehouse space and 110 000m² of parking or container yard. The formalities were completed by the end of 2021, and we welcomed all its forwarders and employees as our newest members of the ACT-family on the 26th of December, effectively increasing our services offerings by a ten-fold. Looking towards the future and having environmental challenges in mind we moved beyond the final mile of our customers' product. Supporting the modal shift and making effort to get as much cargo as possible off the roads, we have completed the build of our newest asset: a 465m long rail track, aiming to connect Belgium and Turkey by rail. With these new acquired assets and its services, our business strategy remains focussed on innovation and sustaining our stable growth, by offering a reliable international freight option to our customers along the existing modalities. With loyalty, hard work and intelligence we have always done what we have promised our customers. We will continue to handle your cargo and supply chain with the highest care. Mehmet Gülüser
